What is this page?

In 2015, Derek Sivers created a /now page on his website and the idea quickly turned into a movement. Main purpose of the page is:

  1. To let people know "what you're up to these days."
  2. To remind yourself what your priorities.

📱 Cutting off WiFi/Social Media

I’m struggling to reduce my screen time on any type of platform: movie sites, YouTube, Instagram, Netflix, etc. I have ended my Wi-Fi subscription and I am using cell data, so it limits me to using a lot less internet.

Rather than being active on social media, I’m trying to entertain myself by memorizing, reading and learning.

🚵🏻 Prioritizing exercise and going out

As there are so many materials to get hook on on internet, I tend to stay in, sit and loose track of time.

My work already demands me to be online and in front of a screen and when my hobbies revolve around a screen as well, I tend to gain weight, loose physical strength, feel less energetic and feel bad about myself.

So, besides my work, I try to prioritize moving by doing yoga, walking, or even doing the daily chores.

🗑️ Decluttering and organizing

I always look for new ways to organize my physical and digital surroundings.

So far what worked best was to get rid of most of them 🙂

The most challenging part was deciding to stop working on my “side projects” until I put my priorities right.
